who we are

ART(ie) is a community arts and research initiative working at the intersection of art, psychology, and social change.

We believe that art can heal, connect, and transform.
Through exhibitions, workshops, and research, ART(ie) supports people experiencing social hardship, from new mothers facing isolation to artists and communities affected by war and displacement.

Our projects use creativity as a catalyst for dialogue, dignity, and collective wellbeing.

our approach

We work across three dimensions of change:

Art as practice: We create exhibitions and collaborative projects that give visibility to lived experiences often absent from the cultural mainstream.

Art as care: We design art-based wellbeing workshops that strengthen emotional resilience, belonging, and community.

Art as research: We collaborate with academics, psychologists, and institutions to study the relationship between creativity, identity, and mental health.

Our methodology blends artistic production, psychological insight, and social engagement, always guided by empathy and evidence.

our vision

ART(ie) is a community arts and research initiative to use art as a catalyst for social change, care, and connection.

Rooted in both psychological and political inquiry, ART(ie) works with artists, mothers, and displaced communities to transform creative practice into a space of healing and dialogue.

From Tower Hamlets to Damascus, ART(ie) merges artistic production with research and empathy, building a world where art is not privilege, but a shared language of belonging.
